Linda Gries, DVM (Fear Free Certified)
Dr. Gries has been practicing veterinary medicine in Louisville since 1988. She currently lives in Louisville with her husband, Jim, and their two daughters. They have two dogs, Fern and Redford, and a cat, Sperry.
Sue Berlin, DVM
Dr. Berlin joined Crescent Hill Animal Hospital in 2020 and has office hours on Wednesdays and select other days of the week.

Cyrena (Fear Free Certified)
Cyrena is our office admin, and a full-time groomer! She joined the team in 2018 as a receptionist and her roll seems to be ever evolving. She is Fear Free certified in both grooming, and level 2 clinical Fear Free. She lives in Indiana with her husband, four children, five cats, two dogs, and a lizard! When she isn’t busy taking care of the clinic duties or her personal zoo, she enjoys hiking with her tri-pod lab Betty, or thrift shopping.
McKency (Fear Free Certified)
Mckency joined us in 2019 as a full-time receptionist. Her previous pharmaceutical work helped her easily transition into the Veterinary Assistant role, and she now does double duty! We call her our in-house cat whisperer; she loves all of our kitty clients. She lives in Indiana with her husband, two cats, and a dog Joe. In her free time she enjoys taking Joe for walks, and being outdoors.
Chip Harkins, LVT (Fear Free Certified)
Chip is our part-time Licensed Veterinary Technician. After a 31-year career in commercial insurance, he retired as a Vice President from Wells Fargo. He graduated from Morehead State University's Veterinary Technology program and obtained his license in 2013. Chip and his wife Jennifer have three sons and three grandchildren, all of whom live in Louisville. His interests outside of veterinary work include fishing and target shooting. Chip was named Vet Tech of the Year in 2021 by the KYVTA!
Jim
Jim is our practice manager and food provider. He retired from the city a few years ago and now manages the clinic with his wife, Dr. Gries. He lives in Louisville with his wife, two daughters, two dogs, and a cat.
Jill
Jill is our part-time receptionist. She currently attends University of Louisville Hite Institute of Art and sketches as much as she can. She enjoys volleyball, memes, and of course art!
Ashley (Fear Free Certified)
Ashley is a full-time Veterinary Assistant. She started working with animals at the Kentucky Humane Society as a Kennel tech/Doggy day care attendant. Shelter medicine inspired her to become a Vet assistant and she later came to Crescent Hill Animal Hospital for Fear Free certification. She has one rescue kitty named Bijuu, and enjoys hiking and kayaking in her spare time.
Allison (Fear Free Certified)
Allison is our front office admin/lead receptionist. Allison had been a Veterinary Assistant for 12 years when she made a brief career change, only to enthusiastically return in 2019. She's currently caring for a loving crew made up of her dog Brody, and two cats Cory and Clark. She has also recently ventured into the world of fish-keeping. She enjoys nature, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband and son.
Rebecca (Fear Free Certified)
Rebecca is one of our full-time Veterinary Assistants. She had previous kennel work experience, and quickly fit right in with us and is an essential member of the technician team. She recently purchased her first home, and in her free time enjoys relaxing with her fiancé and their white German Shepherd, Rosie!
Hannah
Hannah is a full time receptionist at CHAH. She previously worked with animals at a pet chain store, and wanted to expand her knowledge with us! She adopted two kittens from us within her first month of employment, Naruto and Sasuke!
Jessica
Jessica is a part-time receptionist for us. She currently attends UofL studying psychology. She has two gorgeous fur babies, a Husky mix named Laika, and a Maltese named Lola! Outside of work she enjoys working with her sorority to raise money for Alzheimer’s research, shopping, and reading.
